Multan: As per the notification of the government, the Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Multan administration has directed its real estate agents to get registered with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) through a post shared on the authority’s official Facebook page.

As per the details, the administration requires all DHA Multan’s dealers to get registered as Designated Non-Financial Businesses and Professions (DNFBPs) under the Anti-Money Laundering Act 2010. It was also mentioned that registration is obligatory for all real estate agents, development authorities, cooperative housing authorities, and housing schemes for the transfer of immovable property. Violators will be charged under anti-money laundering and terror financing laws.

The administration has made it mandatory for real estate agents to register with FBR in order to eliminate corruption and enable dealers to operate in a safe environment.
