Lahore: The management of the Defense Housing Authority (DHA) Lahore has issued a cautionary warning to potential buyers requesting them to get their affidavits verified by the ‘Land Branch’ of the DHA Lahore office to avoid becoming victim to any fraudulent schemes, according to a post carried on the society’s official Facebook page on August 7.

In a public notice, the DHA management has reiterated that it is a reputable company that deals with fair and transparent verification mechanism of affidavits issued against land. It has warned all prospective buyers to take the necessary precautions prior to buying affidavits from the market to avoid being duped.

The authority is offering to validate affidavits from its Land Branch at the DHA Main Office Complex in Lahore – before the parties enter into transactions. The management has warned people that it shall not be responsible for the occurrence of any loss in case of purchase on an affidavit that is not officially verified by the DHA Land Branch.
