Defence Housing Authority (DHA) is one of the most sought after investment havens in Karachi. People inject money here because of the security of investment this high-end locality offers. Not only that, but residents also claim it as the most serene place to live in Karachi.
It is no secret that DHA takes development charges from the allottees to undertake development work and to hand over its projects to their prospective owners. The authority itself decides the amount of development charges and when required, it increases the charges. This does not mean that the DHA fleeces its members by burdening them with extra charges, as it delivers accordingly. The DHA Karachi has recently decided to levy additional development charges in the following sectors:

According to the official website of DHA, the authority plans to start construction in some of its sectors in Phase VII, because of which, it has decided to increase development charges.
The extra development charges will be applicable from March 15, 2015 and the respective unit holders will be required to pay the charges quarterly in 12 equal instalments. The official website also states that the last date for 1st instalment is March 31, 2015.

Discount
You can also avail 15 percent discount on full payment of the extra development charges by June 30, 2015.

I came to know that DHA imposed development charges on phase 8. What is the last date to pay the charges in discounted period. Is there any chance of reduction in charges.
I am asking about the discounted period because as per the letter it seem 31st march. But as per your post it is 30.06.2015

Just wanted to point out DHA made error in their calculation of the installment for commercial plots:
For Instance commercial properties:
16000 * 100 sq yards = 16 lacs , 16lacs divided in 12 equal installment is Rs133,333. However they are asking for 150,000
16000 * 200 sq yards = 32 lacs
16lacs divided in 12 equal installment is Rs267,000. However they are asking for 300,000
This error is bigger with commercial and smaller with residential but my dad went to DHA office and got them to send him a correct invoice.

Shame on DHA for initially imposing a development charge of 20 lakhs and now 55 lakhs on a two thousand square yard land my dad passed on to her. Doesn’t matter. We will sell this, take the money out of Pakistan and now invest elsewhere. These retired majors are none less than our politicians and I pray that they get their dues in this very world with all this unlawful money
