Karachi: The Defence Housing Authority (DHA Karachi) has invited Expression of Interest (EOI) for the development of a ‘seawater reverse osmosis desalination plant’ at the DHA Phase VIII scheme (Sea front) in Karachi – a news source reported.

As per details, DHA wants to set up the said plant to facilitate the supply of three to five million gallons of water per day (MGD) on a Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) basis with a ‘Business-to-Consumer (B2C) Financial Model’. For this purpose, the authority has invited EOIs from national and foreign companies.

As per the requirements communicated, interested firms will have to submit certain documents (detailing their profile). Further, DHA will only issue pre-qualification documents to the organisations meeting EOI eligibility and qualification criteria. In case of ‘omitted or non-complying information’ required for EOI submissions, the housing administration will not evaluate the company and would consider the EOI as ‘non-responsive’.

Interested companies can submit the EOIs (one original and two copies) by 4 pm on November 15 at the office of the Director D&C, Pakistan Defence Officers Housing Authority, 2-B, East Street, DHA Phase-1.
