The curtain has been raised on the biggest development of the real estate sector; the launch of commercial and residential plots on instalments by Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Gujranwala. The project has remained to be the highlight of the year for the city.
The announcement regarding the launch of residential and commercial plots was made via print publications today. Here are the details for those looking to avail this brilliant investment opportunity.
The plots on offer
DHA Gujranwala has invited applications for 4-marla and 8-marla commercial and 10-marla, 1-kanal, and 2-kanal residential plots on a three-year payment plan. The forms are available for download on the developer’s official website. You can also download the DHA Gujranwala application form by clicking on the given link.
The publication announces that the forms can be downloaded free of cost. So kindly refrain from making any payment for the form, and only pay the processing fee at this stage.
How to submit the form
Each application form has to be submitted along with a bank receipt as proof of payment of the processing fee. The fee is different for each plot type and size. The processing fee has to be submitted at designated branches of Askari Bank, Bank of Punjab, United Bank Ltd., Soneri Bank and Bank Al-Habib Ltd.
The duly filled form, along with the bank receipt, can later be dropped in person or via courier at DHA Main Office near Chenab Gate, GT Road Gujranwala. Those living in Lahore can submit or courier the forms to 133 Main Boulevard, DHA Phase VI, Lahore. In Rawalpindi, the forms can be submitted at 135 Spring North Commercial, Bahria Town Phase VII.
Please note, DHA has yet not announced the last date for form submission.
Pricing and payment
The applicants interested in a 10-marla plot will be required to despite PKR 7,000 as processing fee. The processing fee for 1-kanal and 2-kanal residential plots is PKR 14,000 and PKR 25,000 respectively.
Once the application process is complete, DHA will hold a ballot, the date for which will be announced later, to determine the successful applicants. These applicants will proceed with making subsequent payments according to the payment plan shared below. Please note that these prices are exclusive of development charges and taxes.

You must have inquired about plot files as plot files available on cash certainly are cheaper than the applications invited for the same sized plots on a 3-year instalment plan.
How come people are selling files? Are the files already out. Please help.
Files are issued against the land a developer acquires. In case of huge projects where land acquisition continues for years, property files always enter the market much sooner before these are converted into plots.
