Karachi: ARY Network CEO Salman Iqbal has announced the launch of ‘ARY Laguna’ in Defence Housing Authority (DHA) City, according to a news source. According to Iqbal, the project is set to become Pakistan’s first artificial beach and resort-style housing project and will feature villas, South Asia’s tallest building, and the country’s largest shopping mall.
‘ARY Laguna is set to become the only resort-style project in South Asia,’ said Iqbal. About 80% of the villas in ARY Laguna are expected to developed in front of the artificial beach attraction. The infrastructure here will be developed according to international standard, but all the related items will be purchased via local vendors, he added.
The artificial lagoon will feature crystal-clear water surrounded by white sand. To ensure that the water does not get contaminated, the developer will use soundwaves to prevent microbial growth.
The ARY CEO further stated that 80% of the material required for developing the project would be produced locally. For the items that are not manufactured locally, new industries will be set up.
