Lahore: Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Lahore has taken charge of the DHA City project, according to a publication. The housing development has been renamed to ‘DHA Lahore Phase XIII’.
The Supreme Court of Pakistan announced its final verdict over the case (pending for several months) on January 1, 2019. In its statement, the apex court ordered the DHA authorities to take over the project’s administrative control.
As per the judgment, DHA is to take care of all project development. The court has also instructed the organisation to complete the development work on time, and hand over possession of plots to their respective file holders. Furthermore, the court directed on the project’s name change – as mentioned above.
Through its publication, DHA has congratulated all DHA City file holders. The authority is currently busy in finalising the list of DHA City members. It has also announced that DHA City members will soon be issued the new allocation letters for DHA Phase XIII. In this regard, a verification process is due to start shortly. For this end, the organisation will issue letters to individual file holders.
DHA has affirmed to resolve the problems of DHA City file holders in-line with the Supreme Court’s verdict. The authority is hopeful of taking care of the matter in the stipulated timeframe.
