Bahawalpur: The Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Bahawalpur has officially inaugurated its Monsoon Plantation Drive 2024, aimed at planting 50,000 trees this season, as reported on their official Facebook handle on August 16.

As per details, the ceremony took place at their main office on Jinnah Avenue and was attended by over 1,500 participants from various sectors, including local residents, realtors, business partners, educational institutions, civil society members, and government officials. The drive, which features a diverse range of plant species such as shady trees, date palms, and fruit orchards, marks a significant step towards environmental sustainability. Brig Ashar Mehboob (Retd), Project Secretary of DHA Bahawalpur, led the inauguration and expressed gratitude to all participants for their commitment to enhancing environmental health.
