Lahore: Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Director General Muhammad Usman Muazzam has instructed LDA staff to register cases against repeat offenders of construction and building bylaws and ensure their arrest – a news source reported.

At the same time, he directed the staff and officials to speed up the operation against illegal construction in the city. He said that he will visit different areas to ensure that there is no violation of the construction bylaws.

Meanwhile, LDA Town Planning staff – on the instructions of the DG – conducted an operation against illegally constructed buildings in controlled area and demolished five buildings. The operation was supervised by Chief Town Planner Syed Nadeem Akhtar Zaidi. These buildings included both residential and commercial constructions.
