Lahore: Officials of the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) last week visited various high-rise buildings in Gulberg and inspected their installed fire-fighting equipment, a news source reported.

Under the supervision of LDA Director-General Amna Imran, the officials checked the condition of water hydrants and other safety equipment in the building.
The LDA director-general directed plaza owners to improve the safety features of their buildings. She urged the business community to assist the authorities concerned in a bid to ensure public safety.

She emphasised the importance of maintaining safety equipment such as fire extinguishers in high-rises. She said that these facilities help to prevent the occurrence of any untoward incidences.
