Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Director General has given the administrative approval to provision of PKR 290 million for the repair of roads around the provincial capital, a news source reported.

The funds have been approved on the directions of Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar. Twenty two of the cities road will be repaired, restored and maintained under the project and these will include carpeting, patch work, and curb stone painting among other things.
The DG gave administrative approval for the project and has directed Chief Engineer Mazhar Hussain Khan to begin the proceedings for the project under the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) rules on an immediate basis.

The roads that will be repaired include sections of Main Boulevard Gulberg, Hali Road, Ali Zaib Road, Maulana Shaukat Ali Road, and College Road among others.
