Dera Ghazi Khan: Minister of State for Climate Change Zartaj Gul has revealed that the proposed master plan for Dera Ghazi (DG) Khan has been approved, according to a news report. She shared this information while addressing attendants at the ‘Plant for Pakistan’ ceremony held at Jinnah Family Park on Monday.

The minister said that the approved master plan included proper planning for the suburban areas of DG Khan. She also indicated that the campaign against usage of plastic bags will be launched in the city soon. This is in addition to the projects planned to fix the sewerage-related problems in the city.
Speaking at the ceremony, Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) DG Khan Chairman Muhammad Hanif Pitafi said that under the Plant for Pakistan programme, a total of 500,000 saplings would be planted in the district. This is in addition to the 6,000 saplings that will be planted along Manka Canal.

The meeting attendants were encourage to take part in the tree plantation campaign. In this regard, they were advised to plant environment-friendly saplings.
