Karachi: Development on housing projects launched by Lyari Development Authority (LDA), Karachi Development Authority (KDA) and Malir Development Authority (MDA) has been sped up to facilitate people in having affordable houses of their own, a news source quoted Sindh Minister for Local Government, Public Health Engineering and Rural Development, and Katchi Abadis. Owners of plots in Shahid Benazirabad Housing Scheme and Hawks Bay Scheme 42 will soon be able to construct their houses, he added further.
He shared this information while visiting the pace of ongoing development work in Hawks Bay schemes that have been initiated by LDA. Ghani briefed the media on the status of work so far carried out in Shaheed Benazirabad Housing Scheme, stating that development work, including the construction of road network, laying of sewerage and water line, and the process to provide utility services has been completed. The 18,000 people who have been give free of cost plots in this project will soon be able to construct their houses.
Sharing further details on facilities provided in the neighbourhood, Ghani said that the Emergency Response Centre and Fire Station in Hawks Bay will made more efficient to serve people.
