Karachi: Sindh Local Government (LG) Minister Saeed Ghani on Friday revealed that the development work in all housing sectors of Taiser Town, Karachi would be initiated soon, a news source reported. He stated that the authorities concerned would begin the construction work within the next six to 12 months.

The minister provided this information during a balloting ceremony held by the Malir Development Authority (MDA) to allot over 20,000 plots in Taiser Town Scheme 45.
Speaking at the event, he said that the public had earlier expressed some reservations regarding the development work of the new Taiser Town scheme. Noting the submission of more than 176,000 applications forms for the project, however, he stated that people’s confidence in MDA had been restored.
Furthermore, Ghani informed that he had instructed the MDA to develop the Scheme 45 housing project in the next three years, so that plot owners could enjoy land possession on a timely basis. He assured the successful applicants of Scheme 45 of the grant of early plot possessions – so that they can commence with their home construction pursuits soon.

During the event, the MDA Director Land informed the attendees that all successful Scheme 45 applicants would soon receive letters detailing their instalment schedules. He added that those who were not successful in the balloting process would receive their deposited money within one month’s time frame from the same banks where they had earlier submitted their applications.
