Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has resumed development work under three packages in LDA City; in addition to restarting the construction work at Thokar Intersection and Ek Moria Pull Extension project, a news source reported.

According to reports, development work at the Orange Line Metro Train (OLMT) project site could not resume since the labour is yet to reach the project site. According to OLMT Project Director Iqrar Hussain, labour and the required machinery will reach the site in a few days.
In LDA City, construction work is underway on roads, sewerage and water line. The project director said that all the communicated SOPs were being followed to contain COVID-19 transmission.

The civic agency has already extended the development charges submission deadline for plot owners in the wake of the economic crunch caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Plot owners are now required to submit their dues by April 30.
