Lahore: A spokesperson for the Punjab government has stated that the provincial executive has commenced with the development work on two industrial estates in Sargodha and Quaidabad, according to a news source.

The spokesperson further revealed that the provincial government has issued instructions for land acquisition for the establishment of these industrial estate. Previously, the National Industrial Parks department launched work on the development of the Sargodha Industrial Park, but the project was abandoned.

Sargodha Chamber of Commerce & Industry President Mazhar Ahmad Malik said that the government has instructed departments concerned to allocate land for the industrial estates in Quaidabad and Sargodha.
These estates, to be developed over expansive lands, will attract more investor in the Khushaab district and are expected to create employment opportunities. Reportedly, the concerned departments have already contacted the Sargodha Chamber of Commerce & Industry for identification of suitable land.
