Chitral: Special Assistant to KP Chief Minister Wazir Zada has announced the provincial government’s decision to commence with the realignment, widening and blacktopping of roads in the Kalash valleys of Bumburate, Birir and Rumbur in the first quarter of 2021, a news source reported on December 25. He was addressing a khuli katchehry in Bamburate Valley.

He added that the development work on the roads will be undertaken by the National Highway Authority (NHA) to ensure that international standard work is done on it.
He further stated that once the valleys have been connected to Chitral-Peshwar Road near Ayun Valley, it will help the valleys flourish and boost tourism there.

He said that the tourist resorts in both Upper and Lower Chitral are being promoted to the maximum and the Madak Lusht Valley has been given the status of special zone to connect it with other parts and PKR 4 billion has been allocated for the construction of the road.
