Islamabad: The contractor hired by the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has initiated the development work in Sector E-12, a news source reported. The directives in this regard came directly from CDA Chairman Amir Ali Ahmed.

Under the first phase of the development work, the civic agency has commenced with the construction work on the sector’s service road. As per the official statement issued by the development authority, the contractor will not only complete all dual service roads in the sector’s north side, but also develop culverts and drainage system along these roads.

The project’s PC-1 was approved in the 45th meeting of CDA Development Working Party, which was held in October, 2019. As per the approved PC-1, the development authority will ensure the provision of all utility services and the completion of related infrastructures including drainage system, streetlights, and road infrastructure in E-12.

Further, the CDA has instructed the contractor to complete the road infrastructure during the given deadline. This is in addition to the similar directives given to all contractors hired for carrying out development work in Sector E-12, which had remained stalled for over three decades.
