Bahawalpur: The Punjab Planning Board (Bahawalpur) approved of 184 local government development schemes — estimated to cost PKR 342.87 million, according to news sources. As per the publication, this decision was made in a meeting of the provincial authority, which was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Bahawalpur Shozan Saeed.
The development schemes in question include the construction of roads, installation of a modern sewerage system, water supply schemes and repairs to the sanitation system.

The details are as follows:
- 20 of the total 184 schemes were from Bahawalpur Metropolitan Corporation (BMC) at a cost of PKR 37.2 million, while 5 were from the Bahawalpur tehsil council and will be developed at a cost of PKR 10 million.
- 14 schemes were from the Hasilpur tehsil council and are estimated to cost PKR 7 million.
- 7 schemes were from the Khairpur Tamewali Municipal Committee and will be developed with a budget of PKR 20 million, while 2 projects from the Khairpur Tamewali tehsil council are expected to cost PKR 11.25 million.

- 13 schemes were approved for the Yazman Municipal Committee, to be developed at a cost of PKR 46 million.
- 22 schemes were from the Ahmadpur East Municipal Committee, estimated to cost PKR 49.85 million, while 44 schemes were for the Ahmadpur East tehsil council, costing PKR 50.66 million
- 16 schemes were for the Uch Sharif Municipal Committee, and are expected to cost PKR 50 million.
