Lahore: The Punjab government has approved two health sector development schemes, according to a news report. The cost of the schemes have been estimated at around PKR 410.972 million. The schemes were approved in the 60th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) chaired by the Planning and Development Department (P&D) Chairman Muhammad Jahanzeb Khan.
Secretary P&D Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, members of P&D Board, provincial secretaries, Assistant Chief P&D Coordination-II Hafiz Muhammad Iqbal and other senior representatives of the relevant provincial departments also attended the meeting.
Programmes under the approved uplift schemes include National Programme for Prevention & Control of Avian Influenza in Punjab, which will cost PKR 89.664 million and Roll Back Malaria Control Programme in Punjab, which will cost PKR 321.308 million.
