Islamabad: Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif chaired a review meeting to check the progress on ongoing projects in the federal capital, according to news published on February 22.

As per the details, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) mentioned that PKR 10 billion has been allocated for the development of rural areas of the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT). It was disclosed that the funds of PKR 10 billion will be spent on different projects including the construction and maintenance of roads, sewerage system, public transport projects, and solid waste management.
The meeting also discussed in detail the ongoing projects in the federal city including the 7th Avenue Interchange, 11th Avenue, Islamabad Expressway, Bhara Kahu Bypass, IJP road, Margalla Avenue, and Blue Area Parking Plaza. During the meeting, PM Shehbaz directed the authority to complete Bhara Kahu Bypass as soon as possible. He also stated that the relevant authority should provide the best facilities to the citizens and work should continue round the clock.
The news source revealed that the 7th Avenue Interchange and Margalla Avenue have been completed. The expansion project of IJP Road will be completed by March 23 and the 11th Avenue Phase-I will and Islamabad Expressway will be completed in the middle of the year. It was shared that Blue Area Parking Plaza Phase-II will be completed by the end of the year.

The CDA Chairman Noorul Amin Mengal informed PM Shehbaz about the residential projects for overseas Pakistanis. The premier stated that top-notch facilities should be provided and projects should be according to international standards.
