Islamabad: Germany has agreed to provide EUR163 million in financial assistance to Pakistan for the implementation of various development projects, according to news published in the leading newspaper on May 10.

As per the details, the development projects are from climate, water and irrigation, social protection, health, and others sectors. Parliamentary State Secretary for the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) Germany Niels Annen stated that both countries enjoy cordial relations based on stable development cooperation for over 60 years.

Germany sees Pakistan as an important strategic bilateral partner and the country is committed to aligning the development interventions by BMZ with Pakistan’s development strategy 2030 agenda and sustainable development goals, said Annen.
