Mirpur: Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) President Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry has pledged to address the development needs of Kotli district, emphasizing that all pending issues will be resolved on a priority basis. Speaking at a large public gathering at Captain House, hosted by Mayor Municipal Corporation Kotli Chaudhry Muhammad Taj on Wednesday, the president announced a series of transformative initiatives aimed at uplifting the region.
President Chaudhry highlighted that construction of major and link roads in Kotli and its surrounding areas will begin soon, significantly improving the district’s infrastructure and connectivity. He also unveiled an Rs. 800 million health package, calling it a “revolutionary step” toward enhancing the healthcare system in the region. This initiative will not only improve medical services but also create employment opportunities for hundreds.

In addition to the health package, the president announced plans for an education package aimed at upgrading the quality and accessibility of education in the district. He assured the public that the government is fully committed to addressing their concerns and improving their standard of living.
The gathering was also attended by several key figures, including Presidential Advisor Chaudhry Muhammad Mehboob, Finance Minister Chaudhry Akhlaq, and Minister for Higher Education Malik Zafar, who echoed the government’s dedication to Kotli’s progress.
