Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister (CM) Mahmood Khan has said that the rapid development of the Rashakai Special Economic Zone (SEZ) and other economic zones in the province figures as a top priority for the provincial government – a news source reported.

He said that increased foreign investment would facilitate the economic development of the province. He added that the government was utilising all possible resources to make the economic zones functional as soon as possible.
He further said that the government was taking pragmatic measures for the improvement of economy and development of the province. He stated that the provincial government was introducing reforms in its institutions to ensure better service delivery to the public.

Khan said that the provincial executive had introduced a loan scheme for the youth of the newly-merged tribal districts. He added that this meant was aimed at helping these individuals earn a better livelihood, as well as removing their longstanding deprivations.
Moreover, he stated that the provincial government was developing tourism as an industry in the province; adding that this endeavour would generate revenue and create employment opportunities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
