He expressed his views on the matter during a meeting with a delegation of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) in Lahore on Thursday.
He said that construction of dams and new water facilities was the need of the hour as 20 million acres of barren land could be irrigated by enhancing the country’s water storage capacities.
He said that the construction of additional dams would lead to the strengthening of agriculture sector and the country would be able to achieve food security besides adding low-cost hydroelectricity to the national grid.
