Shangla: Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif announced PKR 2 billion development grant for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s (KP) Shangla district in order to address municipal and civic issues including road maintenance, according to a news story published on May 7.

PM Shehbaz, while addressing the public at Bisham tehsil, announced the establishment of a medical college. During the visit, the premier stated that he will ensure that the Puran grid station is completed in three months and work on Bisham-Khwazakhela Expressway is expedited. He revealed that the prices of wheat will be reduced in Punjab and asked the Chief Minister (CM) Mahmood Khan to do the same.

Moreover, PM Shehbaz also directed the KP CM to make treatment and medicines in hospitals free for the underprivileged. He went on to say that the efforts were being made to resolve the basic issues of the province. The premier added that the development of KP, Balochistan, and Sindh are essential for the progress of the country.
