Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has increased the development funds of municipal bodies by PKR 2 billion, according to a news report. Half the funds, PKR 6 billion, have already been released for the municipal bodies.
The caretaker provincial government had allocated PKR 9.8 billion as development funds of the municipal bodies from district down to the neighbourhood and village councils. Now the funds have been increased to PKR 12.12 billion under the provincial budget the new government is set to present.
