Hyderabad: Sindh Minister for Local Government Syed Nasir Hussain Shah has announced the provincial government’s decision to take action against the mafia that controls illegal private housing schemes in the region, according to news sources. As per the reports, these nefarious groups are responsible for committing millions of rupees’ worth of fraud against innocent people across the province.

The minister made this announcement after chairing a meeting with the governing body of the Sehwan Development Authority (SDA) in Jamshoro. During his session, the SDA body revealed that it had made the decision to build an international-standard recreational park, as well as auction plots on merit, and eliminate encroachments — as directed by the Supreme Court.

The minister further revealed that strict action would be taken against unauthorized private housing schemes, and that a one-window operation for the allotment of plots would also be launched soon. He added that steps were being taken to revive the SDA, and that legal action would be taken against any restaurants, petrol pumps, and other business outlets operating without SDA’s approval.
