Rawalpindi: Director General (DG) Excise Punjab has demanded complete details of luxury taxes on properties around the province including in Rawalpindi, a news source reported.
The directors have been instructed to reassess and prepare pro formas on luxury taxes within three days. These will then be dispatched to the DG’s office for scrutiny.

The provincial government has decided to take action against luxury tax defaulters around Punjab. The pro forma documents will contain the number of properties, the demanded luxury tax, and the details of the recovery.
More SOPs on luxury tax will be formulated and issued after the details of properties are received. The government also plans to take action against officials who do not make recoveries.
After receiving the instructions the officials have begun the work of preparation of pro formas.
