Islamabad: The authorities concerned have launched a grand operation to retrieve land from the possession of illegal occupants and land grabbers in the federal capital, a news source reported. The operation is a collaboration between the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Islamabad Capital Administration (ICA).
CDA’s Enforcement Directorate – with the assistance of Building Control Section Directorate – demolished barbed wire fences, car sheds, security cabins, and other illegal structures and establishments in various areas of the federal capital.
In Sector G-6, the officials concerned dismantled three barriers, five fences, barbed wire, and two illegally installed iron grills that had become nuisance for the masses. It is pertinent to mention here that CDA had received multiple complaints regarding mushroom growth of illegal slums and encroachments in Islamabad.
The civic body had already issued notices to the owners of commercial as well as residential properties to voluntarily remove all sorts of encroachments.
