Multan: To improve cleanliness in the city in general and that in olden parts in particular, Multan Waste Management Company (WMC) Managing Director Iqbal Fareed has ordered that additional staff and dedicated machinery will be deployed, a news source reported. Fareed shared this information while briefing media on steps taken to clean the city under the Clean and Green Initiative taken by Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Talking about this particular operation carried out in populated olden parts of the city, Fareed said that a special cleanliness drive was launched in narrow streets and populated neighbourhoods where rubble and waste weighing hundreds of ton was removed. The rubble and waste was moved to a site out of the city.
The operation in olden parts of the city was carried out under the supervision of WMC Operation Manager Rao Anwar. To further ensure that the city remains clean, main roads and intersections are being washed twice a day. For more updates, stay tuned to Zameen News.
