Islamabad: The federal government has decided to bring the rural areas surrounding the federal capital’s established zones on the same level as far as drainage and cleanliness systems are concerned, a news source reported.
Government funds will be allocated to pave the streets, and to improve the cleanliness, drainage, and sewerage system of the rural areas. The government has also recommended the allocation of PKR 500 million for the purpose in the budget.
This has been a longstanding demand of the residents of the rural areas of Islamabad. More than 800,000 people will benefit from these measures.
