Lahore: The Punjab Excise, Taxation & Narcotics Control Department has warned the property tax evaders to pay their tax before the day is out to avoid inconveniences and surcharges, official advertisement read.

According to the sources, the Excise and Taxation department offices are expected to stay open late on the last day of the fiscal year (30 June 2021) to collect taxes and meet the targets.
Tax evaders have been cautioned by the E&T department that if they do not pay their property taxes, they will face one or all of the following penalties:
• Unpardonable surcharges after the due date
• The arrest of tax evaders
• Auction or attachment of property
