Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has announced to extend the LDA City development charges submission deadline due to the ongoing novel coronavirus crisis in the country, a news source reported.

The development authority issued a notification for the extension of the LDA City development charges submission deadline following the directives issued by Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Sardar Usman Buzdar. It has set April 30 as the new date for depositing LDA City development charges.
Previously, the development authority had directed LDA City plot holders to deposit the first instalment of the development charges by April 7. Currently, LDA has outlined a quarterly instalments plan spanning over two years for depositing the LDA City development charges.

Due to the closure of LDA offices in view of the novel coronavirus situation in the country, LDA City allottees had faced problems regarding challans for development charges. Therefore, they had taken to social media channels to request LDA for extending the submission deadline. Following the announcement of the new deadline, they would now be able to pay the development charges by the end of April.
