Islamabad: The authorities concerned have shared the deadline for completion of the IJP road, which will be signal-free under the revised layout plan, according to news published on October 7.

As per the revised layout, protected U-turns will be constructed at various locations to ease the flow of traffic. The news source mentioned that LED streetlights will be installed on the IJP Road in order to provide sufficient light at the same time save energy. It was stated that the work on the widening of the road is underway and will be completed by 2023. Moreover, the said project will also include seven culverts, two bridges, and two flyovers. According to the details, the flyover will be built on 9th Avenue and bridges will be constructed in Katarian and Pirwadhai areas.

Additionally, a special control cell and control room has been set up to monitor and respond in case of any untoward circumstances
