The court received a briefing that SBCA’s Hyderabad Chapter had 1,577 complaints and applications pending – mostly pertaining to commercial buildings, and some cases dating back to 2010. The court has now ordered the authority to decide all pending applications, cases of proposed and completion plans, regularisation, and cases of any other type by February 29.

Further, the SHC ordered SBCA to adopt the method of resolving applications within 30 days of receiving them. The court warned that it would hold the authority’s regional director for Hyderabad personally responsible in case of non-compliance with this order.
