Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister (CM) Mahmood Khan has called for the opening of Swat Motorway to traffic before Eid-ul-Fitr, a news source reported.

He expressed his views on the matter during a meeting, held to review the Swat Motorway extension project Phase-III; from Mingora to Bagh Dheri.
Minister Construction & Works Akbar Ayub, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Shahab Ali Shah, Secretary C&W, and other officials concerned were also present at the occasion.
The CM said that he would personally pay a visit to the motorway site. He informed the meeting that Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan will inaugurate the project after Eid-ul-Fitr.

He said that the Swat Motorway will prove to be a focal point for both local and international tourists. He added that the project will not only generate immediate benefits, but will also provide tremendous prospects for the development of transport, communication, and tourism in KP.
