Peshawar: Small Industries Development Board (SIDB) on Tuesday (October 26) has issued a deadline for the industrial estates’ allottees to clear their dues, according to media reports.

As per the details, the board has asked the allottees to pay their arrears before November 15 or they will face legal consequences. The relevant officers were ordered to issue notices to all the defaulters within three days to make sure dues are cleared within the stipulated time.
In a statement issued, it was reported that SIDB is working hard for the provision of basic facilities such as electricity, drinking water, gas, and water in the industrial zones. SIDB Managing Director Syed Zafar Ali Shah had directed officials to take steps on an emergency basis for the development of KP Small Industrial Estate Peshawar 2.

Reportedly, the small industrial zone will be 14 kilometres away from the current industrial estate on the main Indus Highway. It was revealed that the industrial zone will produce firearms, plastic, and foods and drinks. The managing director stated that industrial estate will generate plenty of job opportunities. He further added that the sanitation system will also be improved in all industrial zones in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
