Karachi: The Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) on Tuesday announced a deadline extension for paying Sindh Sales Tax for the month of May, a news source reported. Following the announcement, taxpayers can now submit their dues by June 29.

To this effect, the SRB issued a notification that permitted the deadline extension for Sindh Sales Tax to all registered persons. These individuals also included withholding agents covered under the Sindh Sales Tax Special Procedure (Withholding) Rules 2014.
According to details provided, the registered individuals can e-deposit the tax amount for tax period of May on or before June 29. Additionally, the SRB has extended the deadline for e-filing of tax returns for the same period to July 2.

Earlier this month, the board had also announced a Sindh Sales Tax Incentive Package for facilitating vendors and local consumers. The package included a total waiver of up to 100% of the default surcharge amounts on penalties and remissions.
