Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has shared the deadline for the completion of the Saggian Road rehabilitation and improvement project, according to news published on August 27.

An official of LDA (whose name was not disclosed) mentioned that the executing agency of the project has revealed the Saggian Road project will be completed by October this year if uninterrupted funds and support will be provided.
Reportedly, the project comprises two packages; one from Ravi Bridge to Lahore-Sheikhupura Road and the other from Phool Mandi Chowk to Faizpur Interchange (M-2). The project’s Package-1 features a 3.90-kilometre-long and 15-feet wide three-lane dual carriageway. While Package-2 will be a 4.40-kilometre-long and 110-feet wide two-lane dual carriageway. The estimated cost of the packages is PKR 1.5457 billion and 1.5273 billion respectively.
According to the official, the project will ease the flow of traffic and decrease travel time. It was shared that the work related to asphalt has been 50% completed whereas work related to drainage is completed.

Moreover, the Lahore Bridge (Qainchi intersection, Ferozepur Road) expansion project will be completed, by September as work is 75% completed. The said project is part of the Gulab Devi underpass project.
