Peshawar: The Peshawar Northern Bypass project, which aims to eliminate traffic congestion in the city, is scheduled to be completed by March 2024, according to news published on February 28.

An NHA official (whose name was not disclosed) mentioned that the land-related problems, which caused the delays in the project, have been resolved. It was disclosed that the contractor had been mobilised to the site and the construction work is ongoing on Northern Bypass.

Reportedly, the first phase of the project is complete while work on the second phase has been started. The relevant authority has directed the contractor to work double shifts so the project is completed within the scheduled time. The authority concerned has termed it as a ‘game changer for the region’ as it will improve the flow of traffic in Peshawar city.
