Rawalpindi: The Deputy Commissioners (DCs) concerned will henceforth announce the brick rates in their respective districts along with the rates of other essential commodities in a bid to boost construction activity in the country, a news source reported on December 26.

The new rates for the bricks will be applicable from January 1 onwards. The standard rate for the bricks has been set at PKR 9,300 per 1,000 bricks.
Along with the rates for the bricks, the DC Rawalpindi also announced rates for other essentials including various kinds of pulses, chick peas, rice, milk, yoghurt, roti, poultry, meat, sugar and banaspati.

The notification for the new prices has been sent to the price magistrates, assistant commissioners, and various traders’ unions.
