Lahore: Deputy Commissioner Officer (DCO) Lahore has formally requested the chief commissioner Regional Tax Office to appoint tax experts in the sub registrar offices as soon as possible, states a news source.
According to details, the new tax amendments made in the Income Tax Ordinance 2001 has created confusion among property buyers, and reportedly, the property transaction volume has gone down in almost all cities of Punjab. In order to deal with the lack of clear understanding about the tax amendments made by the Federal Board of Revenue, the DCO has sent an application requesting the department concerned to appoint tax experts in the sub registrar offices on an urgent basis.
