Rawalpindi: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Muhammad Ali Randhawa has reviewed alternative construction sites proposed for the Naya Pakistan Housing Programme (NPHP), a news source reported.

The DC carried out the review during a meeting of the Rawalpindi District Housing Committee at the DC office.
Randhawa stated that the authorities concerned planned to develop a housing scheme along the Grand Trunk (GT) Road. As per reports, this particular housing project would be constructed on two acres of land.
He also informed the participants that the provincial government is already building housing schemes for government officials. He told that these affordable housing projects would feature all basic facilities and amenities.

In response, the Punjab Housing & Town Planning Agency (PHATA) deputy director presented a number of agenda points for discussion. The officials concerned also reviewed alternative sites proposed for the construction of a police picket in Gulzar-e-Quaid area.
