Rawalpindi: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Chaudhary Mohammad Ali Randhawa has directed the Rawalpindi Metropolitan Corporation (RMC) and the district council to retrieve illegally occupied state land, a news source reported. The DC also called for a survey of these areas.
The DC was chairing a meeting to review the performance of the said civic bodies. Senior officials of RMC, district council, and district administration attended the meeting.

Randhawa instructed the authorities concerned to identify & retrieve encroached state land. These landholdings will later be employed for the public welfare.
He directed the authorities to start repair work on the roads located in urban and rural union councils. He ordered that the streetlights should also be fixed as soon as possible.
He said that the government wants to provide ‘all the modern facilities’ to the area’s residents.
Furthermore, the DC engaged in a discussion concerning the registration of brick kilns. He expressed his determination to cut pollution levels in the city.
