Islamabad: Adviser to the Prime Minister on Commerce and Investment Abdul Razak Dawood on Thursday took to Twitter to urge the private sector to take advantage of the opportunities being offered under the United States International Development Finance Cooperation (US IDFC) by pursuing investments through its channel.

He said that US IDFC Chief Executive Officer Adam Boehler had visited the Ministry of Commerce to introduce his organisation and stated that funds are available for financing private sector projects including infrastructure projects under Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Mode. The US IDFC is looking to fund such projects through both debt and equity.

Furthermore, Dawood stated that all the interested parties can contact the chairman of the Board of Investment (BOI) for more details. The government is currently under the process of drafting policies and procedures on the matter so that investment through the corporation could be facilitated in the country.
