Peshawar: The KP Culture and Tourism Authority (KPCTA) has announced the date for the world-famous Shandur Polo Festival happening in Chitral after a break of two years due to COVID-19, according to the news published on June 17.

As per the details, the KP Culture and Tourism Authority (KPCTA) Director General disclosed that the Shandur Polo Festival will be held in Chitral this year from July 1 till July 3. The KP Chief Secretary Dr Shahzad Khan Bangash in a meeting at Civil Secretariat directed the relevant authorities to make the best arrangements for the festival.

Moreover, the director general stated that a tent village is being set up around the world’s highest polo ground. It was informed that it will provide lodging and boarding facilities for domestic and foreign tourists. Sharing more details, the director general mentioned that the festival will feature stalls and will showcase Gilgit-Baltistan’s performing art and music of Chitral.
