Islamabad: Adviser to the Prime Minister on Finance, Revenue, and Economic Affairs, Miftah Ismail, has said that data of tax evaders will be provided to the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) within 30 days, according to a news report. The evaders will be identified, and the data provided to the FBR to expand the state’s tax net.
He said that the government has announced the amnesty scheme and tax reforms to facilitate people. “People will be identified through the National Database Registration Authority (NADRA), and the list would be provided to the concerned departments before the upcoming elections,” he said. To a question, he said that about 1,200,000 people were in the tax net currently, and this number would increase soon.
