Islamabad: The Diamer-Bhasha and Mohmand Dam Fund has received a total of PKR 6.4 billion so far, a news source reported. A total of PKR 5.93 billion has been donated from within the country, while PKR 487.14 million has been sent in from abroad. State Bank of Pakistan issued an update on the matter.
The fund saw an increased donation following the appeal by Prime Minister Imran Khan. US-based Pakistanis contributed the most in the money sent from abroad, as they donated a total of PKR 193.448 million, followed by PKR 51.45 million contributed from the UK, and PKR 45.8 million from the UAE.
The highest contribution to the dam fund has been made by employees of the Government of Punjab at PKR 1.01 billion.
