Rawalpindi: To permanently fix issues related to shortage of water in the twin cities, projects for development of five water reservoirs including Dadocha Dam have been approved, according to a news source. The other four projects are Mohata Dam, Dotara Dam, Papin Dam, and Chahan Dam.
According to details, preliminary work for the PKR 2 billion Dodocha Dam has been completed. The construction cost of Mohata Dam is estimated to be PKR 650 million, while the development of Papin Dam and Chahan Dam is expected to cost PKR 520 million and PKR 300 million respectively. The news report also revealed that Dotara Dam, planned site for which is located near Khanpur Dam, will produce electricity along with being a reservoir.
